State Street implements leadership succession plan

State Street Corporation today announced that Jay Hooley will retire as CEO by the end of 2018 after more than 30 years with the company but will remain as chairman throughout 2019. State Street’s board of directors has appointed Ron O’Hanley, previously vice chairman of State Street and president and CEO of State Street Global Advisors, to president and chief operating officer.  O’Hanley will succeed Hooley as CEO.

Since 2010 when Hooley became CEO, State Street’s total shareholder return is approximately 130 percent.

Tolomeo adds Director of Finance & Compliance

Tolomeo Capital AG, the Swiss based systematic asset manager, has appointed Sonja Frech to the newly created position of Director of Finance & Compliance. Frech held senior Finance and Controlling positions in several financial and industrial firms and worked for a large German energy company in mergers & acquisitions, investment controlling and extrajudicial debt enforcement proceedings before co-founding a large Swiss family office and serving as its CFO.

Former EFAMA and Skype heads join KNEIP board

KNEIP, the data management provider, has appointed Jean-Baptiste Douville de Franssu and Michael Jackson as new board members.
As former President of the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) and previously Chief Executive Officer of Invesco Europe, Douville de Franssu brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the asset management field. Jackson is the former Chief Operations Officer of Skype and is a Non-Executive Director of AXA UK, with over 30 years’ experience in technology and telecoms.
