Download Issue	People Issue 22, November 2006 Polar Capital has hired Andrew Marsh, until recently at Investec, to assist Robert Gurner in the management of the Polar Capital European Forager Fund, and the Polar Capital European Conviction Fund. At Investec, Marsh was head of the equity sales desk and a member of the management operating team. Prior to that, he was at Merrill Lynch, initially working as an analyst to re-establish the company’s presence in the small and mid cap market, and later focusing on Pan European small and mid cap specialist sales.

Download Issue	People Issue 21, October 2006 BNP Paribas has appointed Mike Murphy and Yves-Francois Brogard to reinforce its European Equity Finance sales to hedge funds within its Equities & Derivatives business. Both started working at BNP Paribas in London on 18 September. Murphy will head up the team which also includes David O’Flynn, who joined last year to focus on hedge fund clients. Murphy will report globally to Eric Deudon, Head of Equity Finance and Prime Brokerage, and locally to Denis Frances, Head of Flow Sales.

Download Issue	People Issue 20, September 2006 Financial Risk Management, the global fund of hedge funds with over $12 billion in assets under management, announced Andy Brindle has joined the New York office as CEO of FRM’s US affiliate, FRM Americas. In addition, Carrie McCabe, who previously served as CEO of FRM Americas, has been appointed President of FRM Americas. This is a newly created position at the firm. Brindle will report to Blaine Tomlinson, Founder and Group CEO.
