Somerset Capital Management LLP, global emerging markets equity specialist, has launched a specialist small mid cap & frontiers fund with $30m seed capital. The fund is called the Somerset Emerging Markets Small Mid Cap EM All Country Fund.
The firm currently offers this strategy on a managed account basis, however, this is the first fund of its kind worldwide. The strategy comprises of research ideas from across all Somerset portfolios with market caps between $1bn and $7.5bn. This includes some of the smaller, frontier markets such as Kenya and Slovenia.
