Fowler to lead Maples funds group

International law firm Maples Group has named Jon Fowler as Global Practice Group Leader for Funds, which works with leading hedge funds around the world. The move follows Maples recent bi-annual elections for various management positions. 

Henry Smith retains the role of Global Managing Partner of Maples and Calder. David Brooks continues on as Chairman and Scott Somerville as Chief Executive Officer of MaplesFS.  

Other significant appointments included: Ed Miller (Corporate), Alasdair Robertson (Finance), Aristos Galatopoulos (Litigation) and Justin Appleyard (Trusts) as Global Practice Group Leaders of the firm's major practice groups. Additional notable appointments include the election of the following local office Managing Partners Arabella di Iorio (BVI), Paul Lumsden (Cayman Islands), Andrew Doyle (Dublin), Tahir Jawed (Dubai), Gareth Griffiths (Hong Kong) and Shaun Denton (London).
