Verdi Capital launches inaugural fund

Verdi Capital Central European Fund Ltd is a long-short equity fund with a long bias investing in Central Europe and Turkey. The managers have an investment strategy based on detailed fundamental analysis of individual stocks and the knowledge of companies’management in the region.

The fund has appointed Charter Group as the fund’s administrator, Morgan Stanley Geneva as its broker and Deloitte&Toucheas the auditor.

Commenting on the appointment of Charter Group as the fund’s administrator, Verdi’s Managing Director Katerina Zychova noted: “Charter Group is a natural fit for Verdi. Verdi Capital’s managers are based in Prague and London. They possess local knowledge of the region and enjoy long term relationships with local companies. Verdi was funded as a spin- off from a Central European Fund with a performance of 40% IRR since its inception in May 2009. Both managers Katerina Zychova and Robert Doucha have a combined 17- years of portfolio management, investment banking and corporate finance experience in the region.
