ECM appoints Head of Marketing

European Credit Management, the specialist fixed income asset manager, has appointed David Thompson to the newly created role of Head of Marketing from 31 March. Thompson, who has over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing roles, will report to Stephen Zinser, Chief Executive Officer, and will be a member of the firm’s Management Committee.

Thompson joins from Redington, the investment consultancy, where he was Director and Head of Manager Research. Prior to joining Redington, he was responsible for sales and marketing at Collingham Capital Management, a fund of hedge funds. Previously, he was at ABN AMRO where he spent ten years in various sales positions, including UK and European Head of Institutional Sales. He began his career as a fixed income trader and salesman at Lehman Brothers.

Stephen Zinser, Chief Executive Officer of ECM, said: "David has a very strong background in institutional sales and marketing, having worked as an investment consultant and on both the buy and sell sides.
