Bank of America Merrill Lynch has announced that Sean Capstick is to assume added responsibility for EMEA Equity Research Sales. In addition, Charlotte Burkeman is joining the company as managing director and co-head of EMEA Prime Brokerage alongside Capstick. Burkeman is expected to join in late June.
Both Burkeman and Capstick will be responsible for further developing Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Global Markets prime brokerage offering in the region.
Capstick joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in August 2010 from Deutsche Bank, where he was co-head of European Global Prime Finance Sales and global head of the Hedge Fund Capital Group. Prior to this, he held senior leadership positions across the Sales functions of Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs in New York and London. Capstick began his career in the Research Sales department at Goldman Sachs.
Burkeman joins the company from UBS where she was head of EMEA Prime Brokerage and co-head of EMEA Prime Services. Before returning to London to take up a position on the UBS European Equities Management Committee, in parallel with her most recent role, Burkeman was based in New York as co-head of US Prime Brokerage Sales and global head of Capital Introductions for UBS. She began her career at Goldman Sachs as part of the European Capital Introduction team.
