Merrill Lynch adds financial advisor in Spain

Merrill Lynch Wealth Management has announced the appointment of Alberto Cejudo Podio as a Financial Advisor, based in Madrid, Spain. Podio will focus on providing wealth and investment management services to Spanish High Net Worth Individuals and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals. He reports to Rafael Ximenez de Embun, Market Manager for Iberia, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.

Podio joins from Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild where he was a Senior Manager responsible for Spanish U/HNWIs. Prior to this, he worked at Sarasin Alen as a Senior Adviser for Iberian U/HNWIs. Before that, Podio was at BNP Paribas Private Bank as the deputy head of Private Banking for South Levante and Andalucia managing U/HNWIs’ portfolios. Other past roles include head of Private Banking at Banco Urquijo in Murcia, Spain, Senior Adviser of Wealth Structuring at Banco Urquijo in Madrid, Spain, and Manager of two family offices.
