Conyers Dill & Pearman has further augmented its Moscow office with the addition of senior corporate and finance lawyer Claire McConway as the firm continues to invest in its BRIC markets presence and expand its international footprint.
McConway’s practice covers all aspects of corporate finance, including public and private M&A, private equity investment, IPOs, secondary offerings, private placements, cross border lending and security arrangements, and aviation finance structuring. Claire also has extensive expertise in advising on the corporate aspects of Islamic finance transactions and Shari'ah compliant investments. She was previously an associate in Conyers’ Bermuda office, which she joined in 2009.
Prior to joining Conyers, McConway was counsel at US firm King & Spalding in London. She has also worked with Denton Wilde Sapte and Herbert Smith. She is admitted to practise in England and Wales, British Virgin Islands and Bermuda.
Conyers’ Moscow office opened in 2008 and is the only offshore firm in Russia and the CIS which provides legal advice on the jurisdictions of BVI, Bermuda, Cayman, Mauritius and, in co-operation with Antis Triantafyllides & Sons LLC, Cyprus. The firm remains committed to expanding opportunities for clients in major international financial centres by offering access to market-leading jurisdictions in their own time zones and languages. From Moscow, Conyers advises on Russia and CIS inward and outward investment, M&A, banking and finance and capital markets, representing major companies, financial institutions and private equity groups.
