Rothstein Kass has announced the addition of three new principals to its ranks. Moshe Biderman, an alternative investment industry expert, has boarded as a Tax Principal in the Rothstein Kass Financial Services Group, and will be based in the Roseland, New Jersey office. David Logan has also joined the company as a Tax Principal in the Financial Services Group. He is based in the firms’ New York office. Meanwhile, Robert Siegel, a tax planning and advisory services specialist to both public and private companies, has re-joined Rothstein Kass as a Tax Principal in the Rothstein Kass Commercial Services Group. He will operate from the firm’s Roseland location.
Logan, CPA, is a Tax Principal in the Rothstein Kass Financial Services Group. Logan offers tax, structuring, and operational advisory services to the alternative investment industry. He brings more than 25 years of both public and industry experience to his new role. For the past five years he was Senior Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer for an international fund of funds complex, where his responsibilities included middle and back office operations, audit and tax reporting, and regulatory and compliance matters for the investment funds and management entities. Previously, Logan was a tax partner with a “Big Four” accounting firm in New York, were he co-founded the Private Investment Fund Services Group. He was a firm-designated specialist in the structuring and taxation of private and public investment funds and fund of funds, and served some of the firm’s largest financial services industry clients.
Biderman, CPA, is a Financial Services Group Tax Principal, specializing in advising hedge funds, private equity funds, fund of funds, and other types of alternative investments. Biderman consults on matters related to taxation and organizational structure, including wash sales, constructive sales, straddles and swaps, and matters of distressed debt. Prior to joining Rothstein Kass in 2011, he managed several of the largest alternative investment client engagements at a “Big Four” accounting firm, He also has extensive experience serving Regulated Investment Company clients on a broad array of tax matters.
Siegel, CPA, is a tax principal in Rothstein Kass Commercial Services Group. Siegel specializes in providing tax planning and advisory services to both public and private companies across industry sectors including financial services, construction, manufacturing, professional services, real estate, retail, and technology. He has extensive experience in auditing tax provisions, preparing FAS 109 work papers, financial statement footnotes and disclosures, partnership taxation, and trust and family tax planning for high-net-worth individuals.
