Marius Wuergler has been appointed Head of European Sales for the asset management business of Lombard Odier with effect 9 May 2011. He will be responsible for the sales strategy and implementation for both institutional and fund distribution clients across Europe, including the UK.
Wuergler will report to Hubert Keller, Managing Partner of Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie, who is responsible, with Thierry Lombard, for Lombard Odier Investment Managers. Wuergler will be a member of the Executive Committee. He will lead teams located in London, Zurich, Geneva, Frankfurt, Paris and Amsterdam.
Wuergler joins Lombard Odier Group from Goldman Sachs, which he joined in 2005 as Head of Goldman Sachs Asset Management Switzerland. Previously, he spent more than six years working for Credit Suisse where he was first a Portfolio Manager in Emerging Market Debt before being made Head of Asset Management sales in the Middle East.
Wuergler will be joined by Pascal Imhof, also from GSAM Switzerland, where he was Deputy Head of the Institutional business. Imhof began his career with Man Investments covering Switzerland, and for the past 3 years at GSAM he has focused on medium-large sized Swiss pension funds and insurance companies.
