RBC Capital Markets has announced that it has added three Directors to its growing Global Equities platform in Europe.
Matthew Penton has joined RBC Capital Markets as a Director covering the industrial sector. Penton was most recently at Nomura, where he held various positions covering the TMT and auto and aerospace sector. Penton has worked in the industry for over 25 years.
With over 14 years of pan-European equity sales experience, Daniele Calabrese has joined RBC Capital Markets as a Director and Sales Trader covering Italian accounts. Calabrese was most recently at RBS/ABN Amro where he held a similar position. Prior to this, Calabrese was at Bear Stearns.
Hugh Kingsmill Moore has also joined RBC Capital Markets as a Director and Strategist covering the renewables and utilities sector. Kingsmill Moore was most recently at Nomura Code, where he was Head of Equity Sales. Prior to this, Kingsmill Moore held positions at ING Barings, Greig Middleton and Nomura International.
All three hires report to Mark Sartori, Head of European Trading and Sales Trading, who joined RBC Capital Markets in November 2010 to lead the build out of the bank’s equity trading platform.

We have doubled the size of our European equities platform since September 2010, and expect to see further growth in 2011.”
