Olivetree Securities, the equities intermediary brokerage firm, has announced the appointment of Simon Halliday as Head of UK Distribution. Reporting to CEO and Founder Daryn Kutner, Halliday will be responsible for managing existing UK client relationships and originating new opportunities.
Halliday’s career in equity broking spans over 25 years during which he has held a number of senior roles in the City. He was most recently at Nomura International, where he was Head Global Emerging Market Sales, managing a team of 50 staff. Previously he spent seven years at Lehman Brothers, latterly as Head, Financials Industry Group, covering the Banks, Insurance and Real Estate Sectors. Prior to this he was Head of Institutional Relationships at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenriette Investment Bank and Head, UK Institutional Sales at UBS.
