Cazenove reopens Absolute UK Dynamic Fund

4 Jan 2011
Cazenove Capital has confirmed that the Cazenove Absolute UK Dynamic Fund, managed by Paul Marriage, will reopen today to new subscriptions. The decision has been taken following a period of solid fund performance and the appointment of John Warren to the UK equity team.

The fund which initially launched on 7th September 2009 closed within a week of opening as it reached capacity, attracting £123 million in subscriptions. The fund reopens with £60m capacity across the Cazenove Absolute UK Dynamic Fund and equivalent offshore hedge fund, both managed by Paul Marriage.

Paul Marriage, manager of the Cazenove Absolute UK Dynamic Fund commented: ‘Following John Warren’s arrival to the UK equity team and a solid period of fund performance, we feel that now is the right time to reopen the fund.’

‘Performance has picked up having experienced extremely volatile markets and a difficult trading environment earlier this year. The fund has recouped any losses incurred, achieving positive growth of 5.5% since launch. We firmly believe the Cazenove Absolute UK Dynamic Fund is back on track to achieve the target of the fund
in delivering 10%+ per annum, over the medium term, from a fairly concentrated small and mid cap portfolio with less volatility than the UK stock market.’
