SEB Enskilda has announced that SAM Capital Partners, the European equities investment specialist, will launch a new UCITS fund via SEB Prime Solutions. SAM Capital selected SEB's offering to market its UCITS fund, which replicates its off-shore European large cap equity trading fund.

SEB Prime Solutions is an umbrella SICAV platform for alternative investment managers' UCITS funds which was launched in mid-September 2010. The platform offers the necessary legal structure, risk management and administration services to facilitate the launch and marketing of these funds.

SAM Capital expects to benefit from increased institutional interest in on-shore alternative investment solutions which fit within the UCITS regulatory framework. The SAM Capital Equity Opportunity Fund was launched in September 2007 and uses a short-term equity trading strategy, trading in large-cap European stocks. The fund uses equities and equity index futures to generate returns from short-term market trends in a portfolio based on the most liquid European large-cap stocks.
