Equinox Capital Markets has announced the appointment of Michel Serieyssol as Managing Director. Serieyssol joins a team dedicated to marketing, sales, and business development solutions for alternative investment managers both in the United States and internationally. In his new role, Serieyssol will be responsible for marketing a select group of hedge funds, commodity trading advisors, and other specialized asset managers including Equinox Fund Management, an affiliated company, to institutional investors in Europe and the United States. Among Serieyssol’s first priorities will be to help launch the forthcoming UCITS business of Equinox Fund Management.
Serieyssol joins Equinox Capital Markets from Société Générale where he was a managing director and head of the Pension Solutions Group. This group provides custom solutions to sophisticated institutional investors seeking to address complex financial challenges. Prior to working at Société Générale, he was a managing director at EIM, a fund of hedge funds group. He worked earlier as the global head of MSCI’s Hedge Fund Index business and head of European prime brokerage for Bear Stearns International. He started his career in the financial markets at the MATIF, the French futures exchange.
