Pinebridge appoints Lord Davies as non-exec chairman

PineBridge Investments has announced the appointment of E. Mervyn Davies, Lord Davies of Abersoch, CBE, as Non-Executive Chairman. Lord Davies joined the firm in August, and as part of this new role, he will help drive the firm’s strategy to further strengthen its position as a leading global asset management firm. Lord Davies will continue to be based out of the UK and will work closely with the firm’s management team.

Lord Davies joins PineBridge following his role as Minister of State for Trade, Investment and Small Business in the Government of the United Kingdom, appointed jointly to the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Previously, he served as both Chairman and Group Chief Executive of Standard Chartered Bank plc, where he was a member of the Board for over 12 years.
