Gartmore is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Bloom as General Counsel. In his new role, Jonathan will be responsible for the Company’s legal and company secretarial functions. Jonathan will report to Jeff Meyer, Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to this appointment, Jonathan was General Counsel and Company Secretary of New Star Asset Management Group plc and held a number of public company general counsel roles prior to New Star. He is a qualified solicitor who trained and practiced at Norton Rose, the leading City law firm.
Jeff Meyer, Gartmore’s CEO commented:

With fourteen years of experience as a public company general counsel and company secretary, Jonathan brings a wealth of knowledge that will further ensure that we are able to meet the highest corporate standards as a newly listed company.”

Bill McGowan, Gartmore’s previous General Counsel has decided to leave the Company to pursue other opportunities.
