Amundi adds Head of Research, Strategy & Analysis

Philippe Ithurbide will join Amundi on 15 July 2010 as Head of Global Research, Strategy and Analysis. He will be part of the institutional investment division, reporting to Pascal Blanqué, Chief Investment Officer Group, Deputy CEO and head of the institutional
investment division.

Since 2006, Philippe Ithurbide has worked at la Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec (Montréal). Ithurbide was Premier Vice President in charge of fixed income, currency and credit from 2007 to 2009, and of multiasset class overlay strategy. Previously he was in charge of strategic investment in the fixed income and credit division. Prior to that he worked for Societe Generale (SG Corporate and Investment Bank) from 1991 to 2006 as Head of Research in currency and fixed income, having joined as Chief Economist. In 1989 he was appointed Chief Economist at the Manufacturers Hanover Bank after three years in the same role at the Banque Française de Commerce Extérieur.
