Majedie Asset Management has announced that it has appointed Simon Todd and Michael Nickson, both formerly of Odey Asset Management, to establish a new Global Equity business for Majedie. It is envisaged that they will join Majedie in the Autumn.
Simon Todd joins from Odey Asset Management, where he co-managed the Odey Allegra Global Fund. Simon previously managed Global and European equity portfolios at MFS Investment Management, where he worked from 2000 to 2009, having started his fund management career at Philips & Drew.
Michael Nickson also joins from Odey Asset Management, where he co-managed the Odey Allegra Global Fund. Previously Michael worked on European portfolios at MFS Investment Management and trained with Goldman Sachs in London.
