RBC Capital Markets expands FX sales in Asia-Pacific

RBC Capital Markets has announced that it has added two hires to its global FX team in the Asia-Pacific region, with the appointments of Winston Quek and Amanda Lowe.

Quek joins RBC Capital Markets as a Director and will be based in Singapore, focusing on institutional clients in Singapore and South East Asia. Quek joins RBC Capital Markets from Calyon where he was Head of Capital Markets Singapore. Prior to this, Quek also held positions at RBS, Credit Suisse and Barclays.

Lowe joins RBC Capital Markets as a Vice President and will be based in Sydney, focusing on real money and pension funds in Australia. Prior to joining RBC Capital Markets, Lowe was a Vice President at State Street Global Markets. Lowe has also previously held positions at Société Générale and Standard Chartered.

Commenting on the appointment, Natasha Brook-Walters, Global Head of Macro FX, RBC Capital Markets, said: “With an increasing focus on our global coverage of FX institutional clients, we are adding significant hires to our platform in regions key to our FX growth, particularly Australia and Asia. Both Winston and Amanda will add depth to our existing platform, and will enhance the service we can provide to our Asian and Australian client base.”
