Olivetree Securities Limited, the UK based equities broker, has announced the appointment of Steve Wood as a Non-Executive Director to its Board.
As a Non-Executive Director, Steve will advise on the development of the company’s strategic direction, goals and objectives, as well as in scrutinizing and challenging the Company’s management, systems and controls, and risk management processes. Steve will represent the Company within both the buy and sell side communities. He will continue to actively comment on market structure developments and related regulatory matters on behalf of Olivetree.
Until very recently, Steve was Global Head of Trading at Schroders Investment Management, which he joined in 2002 from JP Morgan. In addition to his responsibilities at Schroders he was Chairman of the Investment Managers Association Trading Committee, Chairman of the NYSE / Euronext European Institutional Advisory Committee and a Member and the European representative of the NYSE / Euronext Institutional Advisory Committee in New York. Prior to joining Schroders Steve worked for JP Morgan for 28 years. In his last role he was Head of Trading in London and Asian, trading out of Tokyo.
