Legg Mason Global Asset Management has announced the appointment of Mark Palmer as Director of Business Development for the UK.

Mark joins from Fidelity International where he was Sales Director responsible for developing and sustaining relationships with major UK life and platform businesses. Mark will be based within the UK sales team and will report into Justin Eede, Head of European Sales and Client Services.

Commenting on the hire Eede said, “Mark is the third significant hire for Legg Mason within Europe this year. He brings with him 23 years of UK retail investment experience, which coupled with the strong relationships he has forged with leading life and platform businesses, will play an important role in our long-term success.”
