BlueMountain expands IR & Marketing team

BlueMountain Capital Management has announced the expansion of its Investor Relations and Marketing Team with the hire of Jennifer Strickland as Managing Director. In addition, Josh Drazen has been promoted to Managing Director of Investor Relations and Strategy.

Prior to joining BlueMountain, Ms. Strickland was Director of Investor Relations at HBK Capital Management for nine years. There she developed close relationships with leading institutional investors including pensions, endowments and consultants. During her tenure, assets under management grew from $4.5bn to a peak of $14.5bn. Before HBK, Ms. Strickland was a Vice President at Citibank, where she led product development for high net worth clients in the Asia Pacific region. She spent the first six years of her career at Morningstar, Inc., directing the Variable Annuity/Life Investments division. She earned both a MBA in finance and BA in statistics from the University of Chicago.

Mr. Drazen has been with BlueMountain for three years, previously serving as Vice President of Business Management and Strategy. In his new role, he will be responsible for managing existing investor relationships, coordinating client communications, refining the investor relations infrastructure and working on marketing strategy. Prior to joining BlueMountain, Mr. Drazen was a Vice President at JPMorgan and Citigroup, working in various strategic roles. Mr. Drazen started his career at McKinsey and Company developing strategic solutions for financial institutions. He earned a BS in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
