Mudrick Capital Management has announced that Philipp Levy has joined the firm as Head of Marketing & Investor Relations, a newly created position.

Mr. Levy will be responsible for all aspects of marketing, sales and investor relations continuing the work he has done as a consultant since the firm’s inception. He reports to Mudrick Capital CEO Jason Mudrick.

“Philipp has been an integral part of our business from the start and we are pleased that he has formally joined the Mudrick Capital team,” said Mr. Mudrick. “He will be a valuable asset as we continue to grow and diversify our investor base globally.”

Mr. Levy has more than twenty five years of experience working in financial markets in New York, London and Zurich, selling a variety of financial products including hedge funds, private placements and venture capital funds to institutional investors globally.

“Jason has a proven track record, a well defined investment process and has built a world class team to execute the strategy. The demand for our offering is steadily increasing as we continue to grow and I am very excited of our prospects going forward,” said Mr. Levy.

Prior to joining Mudrick Capital, Mr. Levy was the Founder and Managing Partner at EastView Advisors, LLC, a New York based hedge fund consulting and marketing firm that represented Mudrick Capital exclusively. Before founding EastView Advisors, he was Head of Marketing and Investor Relations at Laurus/Valens Capital Management, LLC. Prior to Laurus, he was Co-Head of Marketing and Investor Relations at Paulson & Company and a Senior Managing Director and Global Head of the Capital Introduction Group at Bear Stearns & Co.

Mr. Levy grew up and received his education in Zurich, Switzerland and graduated with a national degree in banking administration. Mr. Levy is fluent in English, Swiss German, German and French and conversant in Italian.
