Laurent Chevallier joins Eurofin Capital

Eurofin Capital S.A. has announced the appointment of Laurent Chevallier as Head of Alternative Research & Portfolio Management. Mr. Chevallier will lead Eurofin Capital’s total return research and asset management activities.

Mr. Chevallier’s role also includes running the firm’s range of multimanager products and developing new absolute return investment strategies.

Before joining Eurofin Capital, Mr. Chevallier was Executive Director and Head of Manager Selection & Investments at Unigestion in Geneva, where he was in charge of a 12 man team of analysts and researchers managing USD3.5 billion in hedge fund portfolios with top decile rankings. Previously, he was Chief Investment Officer and Risk Manager at BIM in Geneva. From 2001 to 2004, Laurent was a Managing Partner of Quest Partners in New York (AlphaQuest Fund) a systematic HF/CTA management firm he co-founded. Between 1998 and 2001, he was Head of Research and Allocation for Weston Capital in New York, overseeing USD1.5 Billion in assets. Mr. Chevallier started his career in the alternative investment industry as a futures trader in New York and has substantial expertise in systematic and arbitrage strategies. He holds an MBA from the Thunderbird Business School and is a CFA charter holder.
