Specialist law firm to the hedge fund industry, D. Harris & Co. International Ltd. has announced that it is to open an office in Zurich to service the growing number of hedge fund managers who have set up branches or relocated to Switzerland.
DHCI, serving hedge fund clients with an estimated $300 billion of assets under management, is to maintain its existing office in London but believes that it is essential it has a presence in Switzerland to meet growing demand for its specialist services.
DHCI chose the global asset management boutique Kinetic Partners as advisors for the Swiss move.

Daniel Harris, Managing Partner, DHCI said, “We are very excited about the prospect of doing business in Switzerland, which we see as an increasingly important financial centre. Our principal office will remain in London, which continues to be one of the main locations of our clients. The team in Zurich will supplement the work carried on from London and provide on the ground advice to select hedge fund managers in Switzerland.
“Whilst there has been some limited movement by hedge fund managers to Switzerland, as things stand London clearly remains the hub of the European market.”
